I don't like Ike!

So, once again the Brazos Valley is preparing for a major hurricane. During Lauren's freshman year it was Katrina and Rita, and now it's Ike. Once again, everyone is going crazy at HEB buying tons of bottled water and gas. Evacuees from Houston and the coast are coming in, and traffic is crazy. They are projecting about 75mph winds and 2-4 inches of rain for us here in Bryan/College Station. I hope that Ike will fizzle out like Rita and leave us with nothing but 30mph winds. I need to talk to my apartment manager to find out if anything needs to be done about our windows, especially since we are on the first floor. We would really appreciate everyone's prayers and thoughts right now. Hopefully it won't hit here and everything will be ok. At least we know we are pretty safe if people are evacuating to Bryan/College Station
